As Keen As Mustard
Last summer I went a little crazy with yellow. It got to the point where on my trip to Russia almost every shirt I brought for the month was yellow! As the weather got cooler, I didn’t want to say goodbye to my new favourite hue, although I decided to take it in a new direction. Instead of wearing an outfit with yellow as the main event (like a shirt or a dress), I got a few fun accessories in different shades of yellow. This mustard chenille head wrap was an impulse buy and for just $7 it felt justified. I’m really glad I got it because I’ve been getting compliments on it every time I wear it out! I love the bohemian vintage vibe it brings to an outfit, and I also like that it’s the type of accessory that you can easily take off and stash away in your purse if you need to. I also have a fuzzy marigold toque that will be making its appearance once it gets really cold.
Speaking of yellow… My talented artist friend Maria is having a pop-up show coming up this weekend at the GAM Gallery called OH HONEY (and all things yellow) . It’s been a bit drab in Vancouver the last couple of weeks so it’s going to be nice to be immersed in a bright colourful room full of cool art pieces. Oh there will also be jello shots.. Just saying ;)
