Retro Vibes in Faux Leather

I find my style to be heavily influenced by 70’s and 90’s fashion the most out of any other eras, so it comes as no surprise that my wardrobe consists of countless A-line skirts, warm earthy tones, lots of corduroy/ suede, slip dresses and flared pants. I’ve wanted to get this Artizia skirt for a few years (!) but it just never made the cut on pay day after I'm done with the bills. I usually can’t justify dropping $115 on a skirt so it just tempted me every time I saw it hanging on the rack or browsing the Artizia website. A little while ago I saw that it finally went on sale during their yearly winter sale and was just $80! I know, it’s still quite steep for just a skirt, but after agonizing over this purchase for so long I decided to bite the bullet and just get it (by the way, it's still on sale).  I originally wanted it in black, but the black wasn’t on sale ( have you noticed, black things are rarely on sale at Artizia?! I guess it’s because they are the most popular), so I ended up getting it in charcoal. I love the simple silhouette and the sleek look of faux leather. The first time I wore it out, I went for a retro vibe with a striped tee, wide brimmed felt hat and flowy hair. I can see it looking just as good with a sexy little top, some hoop earrings and a low bun. It does get a bit steamy in it since it’s not very breathable, so I guess I’m in luck with this crappy “summer” weather we’re having lately.

Which era influences your style the most? Who are your style icons? I’d love to know :)
