The One With The Leather Pants

I've been wearing these Wilfred Free Daria vegan leather pants for years. I remember lusting after a pair for so long, then finally saving up and buying not one but two pairs in different colours. Since then I've learned that nothing should ever be bought at Aritzia (or anywhere else really)  for full-price, since if you're patient enough it will inevitably go on sale at the end of the season. These pants are also a part of their permanent collection, so there's no fear of letting them slip away and sell out.

They are incredibly comfy and can be put in the washer/dryer. I'm pretty bad at following care instructions for clothes, so that's a big plus. My last two pairs had a zipper and looked like actual pants, which was actually the worst feature. While the rest of the pants stretched out, the waist remained tight so wearing them out for any type of meal was out of the question. I inevitably decided to stop torturing myself and ended up donating them.

This summer I was wiser and got a pair on sale that had a comfortable high wast that looked sexy, yet allowed me to have seconds at dinner. They're the perfect transition piece into fall, and can look great with sweaters or short dresses over top. They are a real investment piece - I had my last ones for over 5 years! And because they are vegan leather, there will be no unfortunate shrinkage a-la Ross Geller

The only thing I'm not super thrilled about is that they are too close to my skin colour, and I think it could make me appear naked from afar...but who really cares, right?
